Annemarie Maini
President
Annemarie Maini and her husband moved to South Orange in 2004 with their two sons. Annemarie has deep roots in community service and believes the library should be the center of our community.

Heidi Lee
Vice President
Heidi has been an active volunteer for numerous organizations, including TutorMate and Harlem Children’s Zone and has served on the Family Council for New York Cares.

Kendra Kessler
Treasurer
Kendra Kessler was born and raised in Oregon. In 2017, Kendra and her husband relocated to New Jersey, along with their 3-year old and 9-month old daughters (now 7 and almost 5). They spent 2 years in the Morristown area before moving to South Orange in June 2019.

Sandra Dickerson
Ms. Dickerson retired after nearly thirty years with the Department of the Navy Office of the General Counsel all of which as a member of the Office of Counsel, Military Sealift Command.

Tonia Moore
Tonia Moore retired after forty five years as an educator of adolescents. She joined the Friends of the South Orange Public Library and has served as its President for the last five years.

Carroll
A South Orange resident for over 25 years, Tracy (and her husband, Kenny,) raised two Columbia High School graduates who have subsequently graduated from college.

Haig
Susan Haig is an orchestra conductor and cultural leader dedicated to fostering civics and sustainability in New Jersey.

Judith Chelius Stark, Ph.D.
Judith Chelius Stark, Ph.D. is a professor of philosophy and environmental studies at Seton Hall University where she has taught for over thirty years.

Petra Chu
Petra ten-Doesschate Chu recently retired from Seton Hall University, where she taught art history and museum studies for forty-seven year. She is a specialist in nineteenth-century art, a field in which she published several books, including a college textbook.

Karen Hartshorn Hilton
For the last 25 years, Karen Hartshorn Hilton has worked to make the world a better place through her work with government, non-profits and political organizations.

Marietta Zacker
Library Board Trustee
Marietta works with books daily as a literary agent and avid reader. She supports independent bookselling, believes in libraries and, takes pride in her work as a Latina in the world of publishing. Marietta and her husband have raised their three amazing children in South Orange.

Laura Epstein
Laura, her husband, and their growing family moved to New Jersey from Brooklyn in 2009.
Laura graduated from Brown University and received a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. Her career in nonprofit and public sector work began at the Carter Center in Atlanta, negotiating with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank
