Multi-year Pledges

Gifts to the library's Building Connections Campaign may be made over a period of years to meet the individual donor’s needs. By pledging your gift now and extending the payments, you may be able to provide greater financial support than you thought possible.

Gifts of Securities

Transfer of Securities may provide significant tax benefits. By making a contribution with capital assets such as stocks, you may receive a charitable tax deduction on your income taxes and you may not be required to pay capital gains tax on the appreciation of the securities.

 

 

Donor Advised Funds

Through a credible financial institution or community foundation, donors may identify the Foundation for South Orange Public Library as a philanthropic beneficiary.

 

 

Legacy Gifts*

Donors to the Foundation for South Orange Public Library may wish to consider including the Library in their Estate Plans. There are several ways to leave a legacy including:

 

• Donating part of your IRA or 401(k) to the Foundation for the South Orange Public Library. 

• Bequeathing cash and securities to the Foundation for the South Orange Public Library.
