Susie Adamson

​

After a series of moves up and down the East Coast, Susie Adamson and her family moved to Maplewood in 2007 and then to South Orange in 2013. From her early days in this community, Susie has made it a priority to serve her neighbors. First, as the PTA President of Seth Boyden Demonstration School. Then, as a Board Member and Co-President of Presidents' Council. Most recently, she served on the SOMSD Board of Education. One of her favorite community roles has been as an Achieve tutor. In 2016, Susie was honored to receive the Service Above Self Award from the South Orange Rotary Club.

 

Outside of the school district, Susie has served in leadership positions at her church and local parent organizations. 

 

After receiving her BA from Wellesley College in 1991, Susie worked in advertising and marketing for 10+ years in NYC, Baltimore, and DC. She is currently a local Realtor® with Hearth Realty Group in South Orange and is grateful to be able to serve the community in this capacity.

 

She is delighted to join the SOPL Foundation and continue her volunteer activity by serving the library and its constituents. She and her family are active library patrons and strong believers in keeping it a vibrant and robust resource for all.
